Am. Can. Ch. Harley Davidson de Bejaune, HIC TT (Harley)
Harley was our first male show dog and boy he really was all show! American Canadian Champion Harley Davidson de Bejaune had an unbelieveable energy level and drive—you might say he was revved up on life. He loved showing although he did have his own twist on how it should be done.
Harley was the first, and is still the only, Briard to go Winners Dog at two regional specialties, capping off his championship by going Best of Winners at the nationals. He really was a very special dog.
He also housed a kind soul. When Remington was losing her fight to Melanoma, Harley would shadow her, snark at the other dogs if he felt they got too close to her and basicly became her guardian and protector. When she had her seizure he watched over her, with us, trying to be a comfort to her. The night she succumbed he howled for an hour—the only time he ever did so.
Each year, as Harley aged, we joked that this might be the year that he would slow down a little! Harley showed this lust for living throughout his long, wonderful life, leaving us at the grand old age of 14.
